In a recent emailed response to the British Medical Journal (BMJ), Ron Law, Executive Director of the NNFA, in New Zealand and member of the New Zealand Ministry of Health Working Group advising on medical error, offered some enlightening information on deaths caused by drugs and medical errors.
He notes the prevalence of deaths from medical errors and also from properly researched and prescribed medications in Australia and New Zealand, which serves as a reminder to us that the US is not alone in having this problem.
He cites the following statistics and facts:
Official Australian government reports reveal that preventable medical error in hospitals is responsible for 11% of all deaths in Australia.(1, 2), which is about 1 of every 9 deaths. If deaths from properly researched, properly registered, properly prescribed and properly used drugs were added along with preventable deaths due to private practice it comes to a staggering 19%, which is almost 1 of every 5 deaths.
New Zealand figures are very similar.
According to Mr. Law: “Put another way, the equivalent of New Zealand’s second largest city (Christchurch) has been killed by preventable medical error and deaths from properly researched, properly registered, properly prescribed and properly used drugs in Australasia in the past decade and its biggest city Auckland either killed or permanently maimed.
Put another way, more than 5 million people have been killed by Western medical practice in the past decade (Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, and NZ) and 20 million killed or permanently maimed.

Sounds like a war zone, doesn’t it?
Put another way, the economic impact of deaths due to preventable medical error and deaths from properly researched, properly registered, properly prescribed and properly used drugs is approximately $1 trillion over the past decade.
He notes that only 0.3% of these deaths are properly coded and classified in official statistics as being attributed to these causes. British Medical Journal November 11 2000; 321: 1178A (emailed response)

    <description>Hi Don, and other health experts.

Before I jump onto today’s topic, I would like to go back to some post I did end of last year, or early this year) regarding the client I took on. Believe I called him John.

T0 re-cap; John came to me with schizophrenia, type II insulin-dependent diabetes, heavy smoker with severe emphysema, obesity, back and joint pain, migraine headaches, and a few other health issues.

Due to the schizophrenia, (and in my opinion much contributed by the psychotic drugs, “Clopixol Acuphase / zuclopenthixol “, injected fortnightly) John believed that he was in perfect health. Any pain or “un-comfort for John was simply “The body telling me it’s time for a pill. (At one stage, I kept track and checked his consumption, it was towards hundred paracetamol tablets in a week.)

John’s comments was; “the medication make me healthy so I have no problem at all”.

Challenge number one;
Convincing John that he wasn’t healthy, that he needed help, and he needed to start taking care of his body - or prepare for packing up and leave. (I was a little bit softer when I spoke to John.

Challenge number two;
Getting the doctors to do something productive, or finding a doctor that was willing to do anything other than prescribing drugs. Including different paracetamol tablets, whereof each package clearly stated do not take in combination with other paracetamol tablets.

Moving on - and attempting to keep this short;
John was with me for about 14 months, I managed to communicate something to him, and also improve his health;

Reducing sugar consumption. (Was on 1kg / w when he came, and no direct suger when he left.)
Reducing smoking.
He lost about 15 kg in weight.
Great reduction in pain, and therefore paracetamol consumption.
Taking down the Clopixol injections from fortnightly to free week intervals.
(Was due to take it to four-week intervals in end of August.)
Balancing blood glucose to a quite steady 4 and 6.
Reducing insulin dependence, and John should be free from his insulin injections by September this year.

And this was all done by managing John’s food intake, I didn’t go full-out vegetarian, sorry Don, but I probably was on 80% plus vegetables, whereof a lot of them raw.

And after that John concludes that he can manage himself, he doesn’t need any help or any carer so he decides to move from the Gold Coast to Newcastle.

That’s life I guess, 14 months interesting and educational journey, so I wish John all the best with his new independence - and self-management.


This was just end of the story I started - and might have left somebody wandering.

Alix Hayden has brain cancer, but instead of undergoing surgery and grueling chemotherapy, she’s fighting it with the low-carb, high-fat ketogenic diet and has been doing great so far.

In an exclusive interview March 14, Hayden discussed her metabolic diet therapy and navigating cancer with a positive attitude. Alix, director of operations at biochemistry research firm Phenomenome Discoveries in Saskatoon, Canada, was diagnosed with brain cancer in August 2012. She has been following the ketogenic diet (which is a very low-carb, high-fat, moderate-protein diet) since February 2013, which cancer researcher Dr. Dominic D’Agostino confirmed starves cancer cells. This is because all the cells in our body can use both fat and glucose (a carb), but cancer cells thrive on glucose and cannot survive on ketones. So by limiting carbohydrates — which turns into glucose inside the body — we can starve cancer cells.

Hayden’s diet is roughly 65% fats, 30% protein, and 5% carbs. Her brain tumor hasn’t gotten smaller since she began the ketogenic diet, but it also hasn’t gotten any bigger — which is a great sign.

Alix, who’s in her thirties, gets an MRI every six months and is holding off on chemotherapy and radiation, as her brain tumor was categorized as slow-growing. Hayden started a blog called Greymadder to chronicle her cancer recovery, which has made her something of an Internet celebrity.

Heart attacks is the top dreaded killer, second only by cancer – possibly. But it is also a multi-billion dollar profit generator - for the sickness industry. (Ie; medical industry.)

One have to be somewhat concerned, and maybe asking a few questions;
Have we, as modern and intelligent humans, created this pandemic monster?
Worse still - was it planned and orchestrated?

I do have a hard time believing it was orchestrated, but quite sure it has come about due to a series of unfortunate mistakes - as well as severe ignorance on behalf of our decision makers.

So let’s jump back a few decades, finding the man who is taking most of the blame for the disaster, his name was Ancel Keys (1904 – 2004).

Mr Keys is the creator of the seven country studies, in which he proved the link between a high-fat diet and heart disease. However, the study actually was 22 countries study, and it is claimed that Mr Keys removed most of the countries in the study to prove his own preconceived hypothesis.
(I will leave it to others to debate whether this was actually done by Mr Keys, if it was done for the purpose of known deceit, or if it was done by total ignorance.)

For the purpose of this article it suffice to say that Mr Ancel Keys study, released in the early 1950s, had a tremendous impact on our eating habits, and also governments dietary recommendations.

One serious and famous incident that helped establish Mr Keys theories was actually President Ike Eisenhower heart attack in September 1955, a major eye-opener that put all Worlds News media and eyes on ‘Ike’ and the Fitzsimons Hospital for several weeks. Alerting people to the fact that no one is guaranteed safety from this disease, and that it is a lifestyle and dietary disease.

Ironically, and what is less known to the public, is that Mr Eisenhower was put on a high carb and very low fat diet from this 1955 heart attack and onwards. A diet that gave the presidents severe digestive issues, and bowl problems forcing him to undergo surgery for the problems. 

In addition Eisenhower had several additional heart attacks, culminating in 1968 with 4 heart attacks and 14 cardiac arrests from April through to August. Mr. Eisenhower died in March 1969.

There you have it - the heart attack pandemic history. We now count 60 years, and possibly 500 million (500,000,000) heart attack deaths, very likely caused by wrong dietary recommendations. For the last 10 to 20 years the research and evidence are mounting, and the evidence are conclusive; a high-fat diet does not cause weight gain – obesity - and does not have direct correlation to cardiovascular disease and heart attack.

My conclusion my friends are the following;
Do not fear this silent killer any longer, take some action, educate yourself, and then adjust lifestyle and your dietary choices and you will easy safeguard yourself from this deadly threat.

Connie&#39;s Health, Juice fasting Success!
We are already at Day 11, and I have yet to report on Day number nine.

Well, I think we already concluded that the program was successfully completed with a seven day fasting on fresh juices only, and followed by some day’s on raw vegetables and fruits.

Even now at Day 11, we are continuing a vegetarian program, probably because it’s convenient, it’s healthy - and we feel that we are in an excellent condition. Day 11 are also being Connie’s birthday, so let’s see what challenges and temptations that may bring in the evening.

So far so good however, we have avoided both toxins and processed foods.

And the final on the numbers;
Connie dropped from 68 kg down to 63 kg, and she sure is happy about that extra bonus of the health program. But probably even more so about the blood-pressure numbers, whatever it been as a maximum, (believe the top some years ago was around 200 over 100.) down to 140 over 65 the other night. (Again she has instruction that food make no difference and that she have to be on blood pressure medication for the rest of the life. Bloody ignorant Doctors.)

For myself, I started somewhere over 86 kg - and was down to 81.4 for our first breakfast on Sunday morning - now probably around 82 kg. And the sore shoulder I complained about is pretty good now, good enough so I couldn’t keep off the weights at the gym and longer. Yesterday morning, our Tuesday gym session, I did half an hour cardio - but then went on to do both pull-downs, bench press and rowing just to get some load on the upper body again.

We will do this again ourselves in September, but will also set it up as an online program. With today’s technology it is almost like sitting in the same room anyway, so why not set up a team around the world. Skype and WebCam - and we can check each other’s juices, machines and processes as much as we like.

Remembering again - and again - and again, that we are only suffering from TOXICITY in the body - or DEFICIENCY. And you therefore heal 90% of the so-called diseases, by simply cleaning out your body.

Max Gerson, and after him the Gerson Institute in Mexico, have totally removed migraine headaches for 100 years now with vegetarian diet. It is a matter of getting oxygen in your body, getting loads of energy, and keep it alkaline - and no disease can live there.

&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; If you have fatigue - do your love hanging on to it? - It is an option you know.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Do you have allergies - they are optional imbalances, green juicing followed by loads of probiotic food will fix the problem.
&amp;#160;&amp;#160;&amp;#160; Fibromyalgia, or other joint pains - a green diet supplemented with fat, and a lot of walking.&amp;#160; It is optional you know.

If you believe the doctors, believe that you have an incurable disease - then you probably have.
On the other hand, if you believe that your problem is repairable, believe in the body’s ability to heal and cure everything - then you are right too.

There is no man on this planet that can predict the future, no doctor that can predict that you will be sick for the rest of your life. When a doctor tells you that you have to be on ‘this pill’ for the rest of your life - then hold on to your wallet and run.

    <description>Juicing Finale – The first day on solids. – Raw Vegetarian only.
OK, so we are eating again, but as I mention avoiding toxins and processing. So let’s make this day eight report, a menu proposal for going back from any fasting or cleansing process. But of course, what we have on the plates here may very well be a cleansing process in its own right.

Day 8 of our juice fasting - all the first day of eating;

It is Sunday morning so we are not woken up by nice soft music, or a Sandy MacGregor guiding us through meditation as is otherwise normal. However, being young healthy and energised, I’m still wide awake at 5 Am, and I noticing that Connie is too. I also noticed that she still have some issues, or un-comfort, with her back and sciatic nerve.

At 5:30 I go down to the office and create a CD, containing just mentioned soft music and include a guided meditation by Sandy MacGregor, meditation titled “healing yourself” - Plugin and start the CD in the bedroom - and we enjoyed a half an hour meditation.

I then go up and put on a cup of tea for us, and dish up a plate of berries. Connie had a desire for berries the night before, and it would be a nice and soft start on the first day after juicing. Here it is;

After enjoying that in bed we get up to start the day, checking computers and of course Facebook - and planning today’s work list. And now it’s Connie’s time to start preparing breakfast for us - and she always do a more serious effort than my quick tea and some additions.

So here’s Connie’s breakfast, which we decide to enjoy down at poolside - as we having an absolutely beautiful day here at the Gold Coast.

As mentioned, it is raw vegetarian food only, raw because even processing may well turn out to be a toxin. Some processing less so, while other overheating can completely convert the products chemical structure.
(An example being cooking oils, when heating to the stage of creating smoke of the frying pan - you have turned them into a toxic substance - better throw them out and start over. The one oil however that this doesn’t apply to is coconut oil.)

On the subject of processing food;
Our preferred definition, probably controversial, but it’s great with different views. The food that provide nutrition, that support and sustain your body is healthy food, things that you put in your mouth that doesn’t support your body in any way are toxins.

Most of which mentioned here, as toxins, are actually damaging to your body, while some not directly damaging but takes the body’s energy and efforts to process and dispose of.

I met a schoolteacher in Brisbane some years ago, just briefly for lunch and a chat - and I can’t even remember her name. But I do remember her story;

She told us that she had competition for the children in her class, they got points if they have food in the lunchbox that “remember” where it come from. Raw vegetables do remember whether come from, while the dangerous substance in a Coca-Cola bottle certainly doesn’t.

And to a big extent, our processing do the same, it kills the food. Nothing will survive an hour in an oven at 200&#176;, or swimming in 100&#176; oil in a frying pan. But worse still is the factory processing - and all the chemicals added, if it is white it’s and lookes very &#39;clean&#39; then rest assured that it is cleaned.

Cleaned from all its nutrients and fibres that is, clean white food products therefore, most definitely, can be classified as toxins. And that some of those products are; white flour, white bread, white refined sugar, white table salt, (proper salt is good for you and we need a lot of it.) white rise, pasta etc, etc

But quickly back to my menu, where Connie prepare this beautiful plates for our garden lunch.

And to keep it short, lefts move right on and have a look at a dinner;

And as you can see on this beautiful plate, we do deviate slightly - including a tub of natural Greek Yogurt with Garlic and other nice spices.

So that was our nice and relaxing Sunday - but more importantly a very healthy Sunday. Try it out for yourself - the above diet is an excellent break from your chemicals and processed food any day.

But there are many alternatives to healthy living, and the Paleo diet is one of them. The Paleo diet is not a vegetarian diet, and therefore a good alternative to people who don’t want to give up their meat.

Day 7 of our juice fasting - and yes we actually decided this is the last day of juice only.

We are still full of beans, no lack of energy at all, I’ve been busy with cars and some serious cleanup in the garden. While Connie have done free massages here. (And doing so despite a little bit of back pain - old sciatic nerve issues.)

The day started, of course, with a juicing session;
8 – 9 kg of vegetables for a batch of cabala juice.
And a lot of leaves and stuff for the compulsory green juice.
Lastly we produced probably 4 L of orange, pineapple, lemon etc.

The green one is our energy drink, it’s such an popular term this days yet so foolishly missused.

Sugar and caffeine (highly processed coffee beans) is toxic, and certainly not a sustainable energy provider.

We get all our energy from the sun, and the best absorbers / collectors of the sun’s energy are green leafy vegetables. So wouldn’t it then makes sense that the way to make a proper energy drink, is to collect these green juicy leaves - squeeze that Sun energy out of them and drink it for direct absorption into your bloodstream.

Another thing worth mentioning is mindset.
Prepare yourself for you jucing session, read up about the benefits, and check out the many juicing video’s on YouTube. Then decide a bit about your program, most importantly the length of your fasting, commence this preparation at least three months before your fasting.

If you do this, discuss it, plan it and prepare for it, then you will be so focused that you’re really looking forward to commence your fasting session. Your mind is set on your 5, 7, 10 or even 30 day of fasting.

We put our fasting session at 5 to 10 days, but we will be more specific next time. Especially for Connie, there was a little bit of food cravings on Saturday afternoon and evening . She had set her mind on to a five-day mark - and now she was two days overdue for her first breakfast.

&amp;#160;
So now, or tomorrow morning, we are slowly and gradually getting used to food again. Getting used to food in itself is probably not an issue at all, but we want to stay green, healthy and on vegetarian raw food as much as possible. And other issues is the dearly loved toxins; like caffeine, alcohol and sugar, we will try to keep them off as long as possible. And of course strictly limited in our future menu.

One challenge is Connie’s birthday on Wednesday, whether to celebrate with champagne or soda water? What do you suggest?

And on Friday, driving home from the gym I seriously looking forward to my regular cappuccino on the way.

The most common question we get is why are you doing this, what’s the point.

Well, I give you a few comments, or let’s call it common suggestions from the experts in the field.

Charlotte Gerson;
You cannot keep one disease and heal 2 others when the body heal, it heals everything.

Hippocrates
“Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food”

Joe Cross;
Over 70% of our health problems comes from lifestyle and eating habits.
(Authors comment: That number is shocking enough in itself, but I would like to suggest, and strongly believe, that it would be closer to 90%.)

Charlotte Gerson again;
We really only suffer from either or both of two things;
Toxicity in the body
or Deficiency in the body.

Thomas Edison;
“The doctor of the future will give no medication, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, diet and in the cause and prevention of disease. 

Hippocrates
“There are in fact two things, science and opinion; the former begets knowledge, the latter ignorance.”

Doesn’t we live in a world of over indulgence?
(Now talking to, and about, the Western World Society)

We are over eating every day on most things;
The catastrophic overdosing of sugar.
Overdosing on proteins and fats.
A lot more animal flesh than what our bodies can handle.

And finally, if we insist on indulge in toxins, then it should be kept to very small amounts - therefore in most cases we are overdosing;
Caffeine, Alcohol, Sweets, Nicotine, Sugars (worth mentioning again) and all over processed food.

With that said, doesn’t it make sense to clean the body every now and then?

How often do a clean your body on the outside?
Versus - how often do you clean your body on the inside?

Think about it – wouldn’t internal organs be more important than your looks?

How much money do you spend on external cleansing?

How much money do you spend on the outside, just to please other people. And possibly for your self-confidence in that you have too “look good”?

How much money do you spend on toilet paper?
A common statement is that people spend more money on toilet paper than what they do on the inside of the head. (Education.)

I would like to borrow that statement with the following question;
Do you spend more money on toilet paper, then what you do on really understanding and looking after your body?

So to close this off, here’s some reasons;
We are cleansing with freshly squeezed juices one day every week, and a couple of extended fasting is (a week or so) couple of times a year. And we do this to give the body a break from over indulgence - and the “unavoidable” daily toxic bombardment.

    <description>Sorry folks, I miss the blogging yesterday, so here we are Saturday mornings instead. So happy Saturday morning all, hope you had a wonderful and healthily Saturday ahead of you.

Day six of our program started with a good gym session, a bit over an hour, more than 30 minutes on bikes and treadmills - and then resistance machines and stretching.

As I said yesterday, this would be a bit of a check-up on the energy level after five days without solid food. And I can testify that it worked very well, very good energy and I couldn’t feel any fatigue or tiredness at all.

One thing I noticed is that the pulse seemed lower, I can normally reach 150 on a set speed on a treadmill - while yesterday I stayed on 130 in puls-rate. I pushed ahead with a bit increased speed and increased incline - and I managed to get up just over 140 before the time was up.

The cost and the numbers again;
After a bit of shopping yesterday, I realise that we are up to 30 kg of carrots for the week, maybe 20 kg of apples, and then celery, kale, silver beet, lemons, oranges, pineapples and much more.

We have managed to streamline our juice selection a bit;
The base for the program is still Don Tolman’s; cabala juice.
That alone takes a bit over 3 kg of carrots a day for the 3 of us, and also 9 apples, 3 lemons and 3 beetroots.

The second important one is to have a green juice;
We have our green juice on a weekly basis, and the normal base ingredient is our home-grown wheatgrass. Unfortunately due to Christmas holiday we hadn’t any wheatgrass in stock for this project.

So for the green stuff, you can use any green leaves you’ll find in the vegetable store, but we also throw in some green capsicum cucumbers and other greenies. Than for sweetening it a bit, we use apples, and sometimes half a pineapple.

And finally a “desert juice” as Connie calls it - the sweet stuff;
Here we have pineapple and or oranges, watermelon, grapes and a variety of apples. For the taste I like to add lemons, grapes, ginger - and other spices.

    <description>End of day 4, and we are as happy and enthusiastic as ever. Day three and day four are supposed to be terrible days, the worst slump before it’s getting better. Joe Cross commented that he felt like he been run over by a truck. So we can contradict that, and say that both day three and a four can pass quite easily as well.

I must admit though, that I did look bit towards my normal waterholes during my morning walk this morning - a cappuccino might have fitted in well. :)&amp;#160;:)&amp;#160;:)&amp;#160;

Just in time for this little experiment, I got some infection in the right shoulder, these problems have quickly disappeared - and the shoulder is almost back to normal now. I was out carrying a big car door today, and it works very well.

We have found that in comparison it is quite expensive to drink your vegetables as supposed to just eat them. We are three people on this juicing program, and we are looking at the costs towards hundred dollars per person. And normal week here is a lot of raw vegetables, and also lightly steamed broccoli, cauliflower, celery and carrots - that is at the cost of under hundred dollars for three people.

We are not doing our juicing as any weight control at all, it is simply for long-term health. As you may know, we have a regular juice fasting program every Monday of the week. However, we are checking the scale anyway just out of curiosity, and both Connie and myself have lost 3 kg each for the first three days of fasting.

Another positive is that Connie’s blood pressure was on 155 over 85 yesterday evening, a quite low reading for her. It is also a bit of a victory for a girl will have several the doctors orders to be on blood pressure medication for the rest of your life.

Again its proven, as have been done tens of thousands of times before, that the only medication we need for their entire life is a raw food. Raw healthy organic vegetables in any form, and a lot of freshly squeezed juices to flush it down with.

So we are moving on to day five - strong and energised.

    <description>End of day three, and we are still kicking.

Today we only have three different juices for breakfast, cabala, oranges &amp;amp; carrots - and the green alternative.

Then at about 6 AM it was off to the gym, and had a very good session there. A bit shorter than the normal 90 minutes, but we both have good energy and was paddling along with the Cardio machines.

I have two skip too much weight lifting at the moment’s due to some sort of infection in a shoulder - but there’s a lot more to do and I need the extra time to pump up the pulse.

Connie did a good juicing session yesterday, so Daniel and I had a good supply that lasted us past lunch. I then did and you exciting concoction on whatever I could find - when something like this;
Two oranges, three or four apples, a pear, one Lemmon and one Lime fruit, some grapes, a big bunch of carrots and a big bunch of celery and of cause a bit of ginger root for that extra taste, and some apricot kernels for an extra dose of vitamin B.

Just finished our afternoon tea, complemented with my newly composed juice as a substitute for the pastry or the raisin-toast that normally included.

So yes it’s progressing very well, feel a bit of hunger every now and then - but a good as sip of the water bottle we quickly eliminate that feeling. We have felt quite energised today, maybe myself more so than Connie – no tiredness or feeling of fatigue and could easily do another gym session tonight.

So for today’s juicing video, I just have a quick presentation by Tyler Tolman, Tyler is presenting the cabala juice a recipe from his residence in Bali.

Day two was started with a four course breakfast, and a very colourful breakfast too.

A big glass of red cabala juice, then the leftovers of their “Power Gulp” green juice from yesterday. Thirdly we had a juice that missed Connie’s recipe list from yesterday, pineapples and carrots for a nice yellow or orangey drink - and finally the “Cold and flu Blast” terrible brownish colour - but a drink with a tang and a good kick.

That breakfast pretty much clean out our fridge, and I had to start planning for the Monday Juice menu.

First however, being charged up with energy from the breakfast, I went for a long walk around Mudgeeraba - working up a good sweat in a hot summer day already at 6:30. Coming back home I jumped in the pool for a cool off, but found the temperature there to be about 32&#176;C.

Today we also had the third member joining our juice fasting team, Daniel James Coffey, a friend that have found the good habit of visiting Queensland from the UK every northern winter.

At about 9 o’clock I needed my second breakfast so I had to wake up Daniel and get on with the juicing, we did another small batch of cabala juice. (My miscalculation, as it ended up being a little bit short supply for the day.) And we did a good batch of a green juice; celery, cucumber, green Apple, pear, pok choi, SilverBeat and parsley.

Those juices took us through the day, although Daniel complained a bit about a persistent hunger feeling.

Now for a couple of hours in the evening, Daniel and Connie have made some good batches of juices that hopefully should be sufficient for tomorrow Tuesday.

That would be about 3 L of cabala juice, 2 L of green juice, and I believe Connie experimenting with an orange, lime, pear and carrot juice.

To finish today’s little session; I will post a short video, a TV interview with Mr Joe Cross&amp;#160; -&amp;#160; ENJOY;

Okay we started this adventure, juice fasting only, a whole week without chewing.

Sunday morning, 5 January 2014, and we are doing three different juices. I initially had the idea about juicing every other day - but I soon realised that - that wasn’t practical. The amount of juice we need to go through makes it necessary to mostly juicing twice a day.


Joel Cross, one of our teachers / mentor’s, suggest that for a full on fasting process like the one we are doing, we need about 3 L of juice each / day.

Anyone should get on to juicing as a supplement, which is what we’ve been doing for years now, and if so drinking half a litre to a litre juice every day. A very effective way of limiting appetite, preventing over eating, and this is because you actually provide the body with the nutrition it needs - rather than junk food, or other over processed foods that fill your tummy for a false and temporary feeling of satisfaction.

So, 2 – 3 litre per day it is, and in addition to that the normal standard of water drinking applies - approximately 1 L of water per 22 kg body weight.

Here’s today’s recipes;

Cabala Juice 
1kg Carrots
1 green apple
1 red apple 
1 yellow apple
1 medium size beetroot
1 lemmon

Cold and flue Blast
4 lemons
2 limes
3 clove garlic
1 inch fresh ginger root
4 cups parsley
2 apples 
2 large grapefruit, keep the white pith on the grapefruit.

Power Gulp
3 large leaves of kale
1 cup green grapes
1 medium green cucumber
1 green apple
2 stalks of celery

This was the morning juicing, Connie then had to do an additional batch of cabala juice in the afternoon, and she also did a green juice. Both partly for her lunch box - her nutritional supply - during her nursery work on Monday.

By the way; Connie started this week on 68kg and I weighed in at just over 86kg this morning. (This is not a weight loss challenge at all, just fun to check the numbers.)

For most people, the mention of probiotics conjures up images of yogurt.  But don’t dismiss the microbes as a marketing gimmick or food fad. The  latest probiotic research suggests that live-active cultures of these  friendly bacteria can help to prevent and treat a wide variety of  ailments.

&quot;There is an increasing interest in probiotic interventions,&quot; wrote the  authors of one of the most recent studies, a meta-analysis of previous  research in a recent issue of the Journal of the American Medical  Association. Those researchers found that probiotics were  particularly useful against a common gastrointestinal problem:  antibiotic-associated diarrhea (AAD). But studies show that probiotics  can help with a great deal more -- warding off infection and boosting  immune systems, as well as helping to improve women’s health and perhaps  even fighting obesity.

The word &quot;probiotic&quot; is a compound of two Greek words: &quot;pro,&quot; to signify  promotion of and &quot;biotic,&quot; which means life. Their very definition is  something that affirms life and health. That&#39;s true even by modern  standards: the World Health Organization defines a probiotic as any  living microorganism that has a health benefit when ingested. Similarly,  the USDA defines a probiotic as &quot;any viable microbial dietary  supplement that beneficially affects the host.&quot;

That doesn&#39;t mean that all probiotics, or probiotic-containing foods are  created equal. So what should you look for? &quot;There is a lot of &#39;noise&#39;  in this space as more and more &#39;food products&#39; are coming out with  Probiotics,&quot; Dr. Shekhar K. Challa, a gastroenterologist and the author  of Probiotics For Dummies tells The Huffington Post. &quot;Unfortunately it  is impossible to quantitate the CFU&#39;s of probiotics in most food  products.&quot;

CFUs -- or colony-forming units -- is a microbiological term that  describes the density of viable bacteria in a product. In other words,  the CFU tells you how rich in probiotics a food actually is -- and how  much will be available to your body. 

 
Dr. Challa recommends the following unpasteurized probiotic rich foods:
 
&amp;#160;

    Plain unflavored yogurt 
    Kefir 
    Sauerkraut
    Miso
    Pickles
    Tempeh
    Kimchi and 
    Kombucha tea.


So what can probiotics help you with?
Digestive Health
Each of us has more than 1,000 different types of bacteria that live in  our digestive tracts, helping us to break down food and absorb  nutrients. But when we take antibiotics -- medicine that is designed to  kill destructive, illness-causing bacteria -- the drugs can also kill  the healthy intestinal flora that helps us digest. About 30 percent of  the patients who take antibiotics report suffering from diarrhea or some  other form of gastrointestinal distress, according to the recent JAMA  study on probiotics and antibiotic-associated diarrhea. As a result,  doctors commonly prescribe taking probiotics to &quot;repopulate&quot; the  digestive tract with healthful bacteria. The study found that it was a  viable solution for many.

But probiotics can also help with other types of digestive  issues. Research has shown that probiotics can be helpful for people  with irritable bowel syndrome, or IBS -- a hard-to-treat condition that  can have a range of intestinal symptoms, such as abdominal pain, cramps,  bloating, diarrhea and constipation. In one study, female IBS  patients experienced some alleviation of symptoms like abdominal pain  and irregularity when they were given a supplement of the bacterial  strain, Bifidobacterium infantis. 

Even for those without an urgent problem, probiotics can help with  overall digestive management. Challa argues in his book, Probiotics For  Dummies, that good bacteria help &quot;crowd out&quot; bad bacteria. That&#39;s  because the intestine is lined with adherence sites where bacteria  latches on. If the sites are populated with good-for-you microbes,  there&#39;s no place for a harmful bacterium to latch on.
Urinary Health
Probiotics make a nice compliment to antibiotics among people  who suffer from urinary tract infections, according to the research.

What&#39;s more, there&#39;s emerging evidence that regular probiotics can help  prevent bad bacteria from invading the urinary tract by maintaining a  population of healthy bacteria on the tract&#39;s adherence sites. 

Infections of the urinary tract are extremely common, especially in  women. Most infections disappear with antibiotics, but about 30 to 40  percent might return, according to literature from the University of  Maryland Medical Center.
Allergies
Allergy research is still preliminary, but at least one large,  high quality study found a relationship between women taking probiotics  during pregnancy and a 30 percent reduction in the instance of childhood  eczema (an early sign of allergies) in their infants.
 
Researchers selected women who had a history of seasonal allergies -- or  whose partners had histories of allergies. The infants who received  probiotics in-vitro also had 50 percent higher levels of tissue  inflammation, which is thought to trigger the immune system and reduce  allergy incidence.
Women&#39;s Health
Just like the digestive tract, the vagina relies on a precarious  balance of good and bad bacteria. When that balance is off, it can  result in one of two very common, though thoroughly uncomfortable  infections: bacterial vaginosis and yeast infections. In fact, bacterial  vaginosis can actually lead to a yeast infection.

Some small studies have found that L. acidophilius can help prevent  infection, manage an already active one or support antibiotics as a  treatment, though it&#39;s worth noting that the probiotics were taken as  vaginal suppositories, rather than orally in food. 

Probiotics may also have a special role in maternal health, as pregnant  women are particularly susceptible to vaginal infections. And bacterial  vaginosis has been indicated as a contributing factor to pre-term labor,  making probiotics a potential boon for fetal health.
Immunity
Surprisingly, one of the main functions of healthful bacteria is to stimulate immune response.

By eating probiotic-rich foods and maintaining good intestinal flora, a  person can also help to maintain a healthy immune system. And  that has real world effects: for example, in one small study of  students, those who were given a fermented dairy drink (instead of milk)  displayed increased production from lymphocytes -- a marker of immune  response.
Obesity
In 2006, Stanford University researchers found that obese people had  different gut bacteria than normal-weighted people -- a first indication  that gut flora plays a role in overall weight. 

Some preliminary research shows that probiotics can help obese  people who have received weight loss surgery to maintain weight loss.  And in a study of post-partum women who were trying to lose abdomnial  fat, the addition of lactobacillusand bifidobacterium capsules helped  reduce waist circumference. 

It&#39;s still unclear how probiotics play a role in weight loss -- and  there is some controversy about how significant the  probiotics-associated weight loss is. 

But as long as the probiotics source is low-calorie and healthful, itself, it is an innocuous method to attempt.

Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association calls for a national monitor scheme and more safe injecting rooms to help curb prescription abuse.

A total of 176 Victorians died of drug overdoses in the first half of this year 2013 - and the overwhelming majority of the deaths involved prescription drugs.

Figures released by the Coroners Court on Tuesday show the contribution of prescription drugs - 82 per cent of overdose deaths - far outweighed those of illicit drugs (44 per cent) and alcohol (30 per cent), with some deaths caused by a combination of drug types.


The figures put Victoria on track to exceed last year&#39;s total of 367 drug overdose deaths - higher than the road toll - and have prompted calls for increased drug treatment services.

They show minor tranquillisers called benzodiazepines have overtaken opioids as the prescription drug type most commonly associated with drug deaths.

The tranquillisers - including alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax - contributed to 102 deaths in the first half of this year.

Prescription opioids, such as oxycodone and fentanyl, contributed to 94 deaths. Heroin was involved in 67 deaths.

Where is hit hardest by overdoses.

A Coroner&#39;s Court analysis of overdose deaths in 2010, 2011 and 2012 revealed that the City of Yarra had the highest rate of drug deaths in Victoria. The municipality, which includes Richmond, Collingwood and Fitzroy, was followed by the cities of Port Phillip (which includes St Kilda) and Melbourne.

The analysis also looked at drug deaths within Melbourne-based Medicare Locals, which are organisations that co-ordinate primary care in different areas. By Medicare Local areas, Frankston/Mornington Peninsula and inner north-west Melbourne had the highest rate of deaths involving prescription drugs.


Inner north-west Melbourne also had the highest rates of deaths involving illegal drugs and alcohol as well as the the highest rate of deaths involving prescription tranquillisers and opioids.

Frankston/Mornington Peninsula had the highest rates of deaths involving antidepressants and antipsychotics.

The figures also showed a higher rate of drug deaths in regional Victoria compared with Melbourne, when measured against population.

Victorian Alcohol and Drug Association executive officer Sam Biondo said the figures were cause for concern. 

The higher death rates in regional Victoria could be blamed partly on difficulties in access to treatment due to &#39;&#39;a scarcity of resources and overburdened health and welfare services&#39;&#39;, he said.

Mr Biondo said the data provided insight into drug harms by region and allowed for tailored responses that should include a supervised injecting room in the City of Yarra.

He said increased access to pharmacotherapy such as methadone was vital to driving down drug deaths, as were needle and syringe and pain management programs. Mr Biondo renewed calls for a &#39;&#39;real-time prescription monitoring system&#39;&#39; to alert doctors and pharmacists to individuals obtaining multiple prescriptions from various doctors to feed addictions. Federal and state governments say they are working to develop such a system.

Australia&#39;s drug regulator, the Therapeutic Goods Administration, will also place more stringent restrictions on access to Xanax from next February. A licence will be required to prescribe the drug for longer than eight weeks or to a drug-dependent person.

The Art of Fasting
An ill or injured animal’s first instinct is to abstain from solid food until it is again healthy. They instinctively know that the healing process will be much faster and more effective when it abstains from solid food that burden its digestive tract.&amp;#160; This instinct is also true for humans however most of us completely ignore our body&#39;s incredible intelligence! Fasting means to &#39;Make-Strong&quot; and there are many different types of fasts including water, juice, mono diets, raw foods (like doing the 28 Day Pulse and Water Challenge) and more.

My name is Olle.

Olle Persson, Swedish origin and born 1956.

I met you the first time Ed when you’re presenting and selling the Reading&amp;#160; Genius course in Brisbane. It must have been 15 years ago now. (On a sad note, I had a friend with me at your seminar, and she too bought your program, neither of us has done much about it though. The sad part is that the girl died from breast cancer couple weeks ago, again making me realize; “we don’t have a contract with life, so get on with it while you’re here.”)

Well, I was born in Sweden a long time ago, but I did move to Australia in 1990 - hence my first language now is English. Absolutely loving the new life in the sub tropical / tropical sunshine state Queensland in Australia, and so does my partner Connie - and 28-year-old daughter. Mona.

We are in a reasonable stable relationship, celebrating 40 years now on 8 December, still not married though - says I need to get to know the girl first.&amp;#160; :)

Already in Sweden we were quite interested in alternative natural health, Connie even did short fasting periods during the 1980s. I studied a bit of Scientology in the early 1980s, did a lot of reading and a few courses - but can’t really say that I became a Scientology advocate.

I also remember doing the Mega Memory course by Kevin Trudeau, in this course Kevin had a whole chapter about the vitamin supplement and the positive effect on brain and learning capability. I vaguely also remember that he had a very negative view towards the sugar drinks, and that you should stay away from sugar in any learning environment. (Interesting fact that the danger of sugar was known in the 1980s and long before that, yet still today they are happily selling both sugar drinks - and the very dangerous energy drinks in school canteens in Australia.)

I sort of got hooked on the vitamins, and was popping vitamin pills from the mid 1980s through to just a couple of years ago. Occasionally still take my USANA multivitamin pills. The shift away from vitamins haven’t been less a belief in the need of nutrition, it is the approach towards the natural way, eating fresh greens; apple bananas, carrots celery and broccoli. Including, studying and following the Don Tolman’s teaching - with which we now for five or six years have applied a routine with one day juice fasting per week.

An extended trial of Don Tolman’s program was when my partner Connie, removed ovarian cancer tumors with help of a three weeks juice fasting and meditation sessions.

Another issue that we are adamant about is the avoidance of sugar, sugar is a poison to the extent it shouldn’t be available in supermarkets - possibly as a prescription drug. It looks like a hopeless mission, but we are committed in a persistent pursuit of converting Coke drinkers into or Water drinkers.

In conclusion;
We are open minded, we are keen students - we have a great believes in the teaching of the Celestine Prophecy - in Crystal Energy and in Astral Travelling. We are only energy, energy is all there is, and energy has no boundaries, the physical manifestations we see is to some extent illusions - illusionary manifestations created in our imagination.

We can choose to maintain this temple (our human bodies) we have been granted control over doing our earthly visit, or we can choose to abuse it - put the body at “un ease” and thus manifest “dis-ease”.

As this is all a creation of our mind, and long past negative programming, and with long past I mean generations, we quite naturally can reverse any conditions with a simple change of our mindset. Thoughts are energy and they manifest into physical things, and there isn’t really much difference in this realm - whether somebody consciously thinks about creating a building - or subconsciously decide to create a cancerous tumor.

You are a miracle healer Ed, a healing genius, I admire your work - and would love to work closer with you. I also believe that we are all Healers - we are all anything we want to be - it’s a matter of the believing and having the confidence. This is a very well said by a great teacher / healer in India;

This powerful man once was asked, from someone having witnessed his healing powers, “Are You God”?
To the question the man answered short and promptly; “Yes I am.”
Continuing; - “And so are you my friend - the only difference is; I know it - and you don’t”.

To help others to heal, we will do what we already do on a daily basis - the three important things; education, education and more education.

We are continuously growing and changing our online presence, and we all looking to take on clients to help them to heal. We already have open our house to people in need, and there is no filtering at all about what area they need help in.


As a brief excitable, I would introduce a girl - and I give her the fictitious name Annie.

Annie came to us a couple months ago, and she didn’t look good. She of course said that everything is good, and that she didn’t have any problem. Naturally it didn’t take long to realize that Annie is an alcoholic, and a quite heavy smoker. As is common with alcoholics, they are into body abuse, starvation - in short - on a path towards killing themselves.

We later learned that Annie has spent many years in a physically abusive relationship, still suffering from the wounds of the abuse. In addition - and off course as a result of the above, is developing quite severe arthritis.

Finally for the diagnosis, Annie is said to have in-operable pancreas cancer. The doctors didn’t say in-curable, but it would probably get to that stage. As we all know, chemotherapy and radiation is far worse than the actual symptoms it is meant to treat.

Luckily for Annie, she have come to a supportive home - where we are well aware that “in curable” simply means that the condition is curable from within.

We now have Annie on a healthy diet, high content of vegetables - and very limited processing of the food she eats. In addition she are on daily meditation sessions, as well as education in personal / mental development - and about the many options available to battle cancer.

This is especially promising because the subjects&#39; average daily caloric intake was around 2,400 calories and they burned an average of 400 calories through exercise. This calorie level alone would not result in the dramatic weight loss that was observed with the supplemented coffee bean extract.


Although the results of these studies are rather groundbreaking, it&#39;s important to note that these studies did have some limitations. The Pennsylvania study involved only 16 people, and the study itself was short. Additionally, the subjects in this study took supplements, which isn&#39;t the same as consuming whole foods.&amp;#160; Supplements aren&#39;t regulated in the same way that food is.

The research on green coffee beans is still in its infancy, but the results we have been able to trace down in a short period of time certainly warrant further investigation. But then again, this is an natural clean product - straight from nature. And as to this study is and other reports, there are no side effects recorded anyway.

Do you know how much sugar you’re consuming? There are about 16 packs of sugar in a regular soft drink. You wouldn’t eat 16 packs of sugar, so why would you drink it?

Of course sugary drinks make work for more people than dentists. Though the drinks and food industry still hotly contests it, a scientific consensus is now emerging that fatal problems can be traced back to excessive sugar consumption. Sugary drinks, addiction and obesity are inextricably linked: excess sugar in the diet may be a greater cause of obesity than fat is. Obese people suffer from diabetes, cancer, fatty liver disease, dementia and heart problems to the extent that their healthcare costs are double those of people with a healthy body mass. The &quot;metabolic syndrome&quot; maladies associated with insulin resistance and obesity – many authorities now just use the term &quot;diabesity&quot; – are expected soon to overtake tobacco as the leading cause of heart disease in the world. And perhaps of cancer, too.

Thus the &quot;don&#39;t grow up&quot; line on that 7UP tin carries a grinding irony. Dr Robert Lustig puts it brutally: &quot;The numbers don&#39;t lie… as a rule, the fat die young.&quot; He is a medical doctor and professor of clinical paediatrics at the University of California who has emerged as the guru of an increasingly noisy international campaign pressing governments to act as aggressively on sugary drinks as they have on tobacco. The two are seen as directly analogous – unnecessary habits that cost people and society dear. Lustig believes that children are at the forefront of the sugar-driven health crisis because soft and fizzy drinks are the most efficient way of delivering this &quot;poison&quot;. His word.

So the 7UP tin is quite an artefact. It shows capitalism at its most efficient and rapacious: where ingredients – sugar, flavouring, water – costing almost nothing can be turned into a profit margin measured in the thousands of per cent. It illustrates the extraordinary diversion of farmland and forest into the production of the almost useless while nearly a billion people on the planet are starving. The can is an icon of the key dietary changes of the era, where we upped our simple carbohydrate intake – sugar – to the point that it started harming us in ways never seen before.

A monumental battle is just beginning between the sugar and food corporations and governments, which know that society can no longer bear the strain of the polysaccharide habit. If the 40 years of war between government and Big Tobacco are anything to go by, the fight will be dirty.

A good lifestyle that nearly killed him, as the title reveals.Joel decided to go on an overseas holiday, for the change of lifestyle and environment - and to replenish his body in a 60 day juice fasting mission.We, here at Connie’s health, following Don Tolman and many other healthy living experts, and preaching fasting and cleansing at least once annually.Connie practiced regular juice fasting already in the early 80’s, quite short fasting periods but regular couple of times a year. In 2009 she got a more serious call to pay attention to the body, she was diagnosed with tumours in the ovary’s.She bravely refused the sickness industries alternative, which we know is cutting out, burning or poisoning. We are also well aware that cancer is a defence mechanism in the body, cancer is away for the body to contain dangerous toxins that can’t be disposed of. “Monkey See – Monkey Do”, And your Children?
An awakening on how we program our children, and how to alleviate the major cause family stress.

Everybody I know is working on one issue or another, trying to move into a better space in their lives, some big some small. Most of the issues we struggle with are the deep rooted ones that were planted there when we were children.

Knowing that, as a parent, how careful are you with the seeds you are planting in the fertile soil of your child&#39;s mind? By not thinking, are you planting weeds that they&#39;ll be struggling with for the rest of their lives ... just as you are struggling with your deep rooted weeds?

Some put it this simple; To the extent we do not achieve the goals and successes we strive for in life, that’s the extent we live out of, and are controlled by, the subconscious mind. The programs, the weeds, our parents installed.

Is your goal to build up your children with every conversation you have ... even if it&#39;s a reprimand.


Children are in a huge learning mode. Of course they are going to make mistakes over and over until they &quot;get it&quot;. Just as when they started to walk, they didn&#39;t simply stand up and run. They tried and tried and failed and failed ... tried and failed until they understood how these things called legs work.

It&#39;s the same with life ... they&#39;ll keep trying and failing until they get how life works. Now you didn&#39;t go ballistic or speak negatively to them when they couldn&#39;t walk first try. So why is there negative talk instead of encouragement when they don&#39;t get a life lesson on the first or tenth attempt?

The reason is that it is all about you and your frustrations and your ability to give to love in a non-judgemental way. Parents are often so aggressive and demanding in the language they speak to their children ... in a way that they never ever think of speaking to others at work, for example.

Words have an everlasting effect on children. (You remember?) You have the power to speak life to your children and to plant seeds of self-confidence to encourage their dreams.

As a parent, set the standard for how your children treat themselves and how they demand others treat them.

Every unreasoned criticism you blindly thrust upon them robs them of self-esteem and they are inwardly wounded, believing they&#39;re as awful (or worse) as your accusations ... and you just thought it was a passing comment from you.

You are their protector ... how you engender trust as the protector will affect how they see themselves in life ... for the rest of their lives.

Be slow to anger and quick to forgiveness. Give children the benefit of the doubt in every situation, allowing them a chance to express their point of view ... without your judgement.


Today, you are writing on the blank pages of your child&#39;s life story. Choose beautiful words of love and encouragement ... it&#39;s what you wanted when you were a kid, isn&#39;t it? And wouldn&#39;t it have made a difference to who you are today?

Self-Reflection Questions:
1. What tone of voice do you normally use with your child?
2. How have the words of your own parents affected your life?
3. What are you teaching others about how they should treat your child?

When we give freely, we are telling the Universe that we have no fear of lack and that we truly believe that abundance will flow into the space created by our giving.

The stress and aggressiveness in our family life quite often stems from financial stress in one way or the other. I bang on about the usual self love acts often – repeating  affirmations, meditating, eating wholefoods, lying in the sun etcetera  etcetera – but there are plenty of other ways to shower yourself with  love that you may not initially consider to be doing the job. There are  certain acts that you may brush off as insignificant and discredit  because of their simplicity.
Here are 10 of those acts:
1. Pay attention to your finances: Money is something that  until very recently scared the bejesus out of me. Numbers have just  never been my thing. But then I heard Kate Northrup  talking about how being responsible for your money is an extreme act of  self care. I realised that she is totally right! Like anything else in  our lives, the numbers in our bank account need love and attention in  order to grow.
2. Listen to your intuition: It always has your best interests in mind, and the more you listen to it, the stronger it will get.
3. Make decisions based on what brings you the most happiness:  This sounds simple in theory, but too often our decisions are swayed in  favour of justifications other than our own happiness. Choosing in  favour of your happiness is like sending a potent love message to  yourself.
4. Don’t feel guilty for making decisions based on what makes you happy: The guilt will un-do any do-gooding that your happiness-based decision-making did. (Whoa, that’s a tongue twister)
5. Act out of love, not fear: This is something I learnt from the incredibly wise Anita Moorjani (click here for parts one and two  of my interview with her). Don’t do things because you are scared of  what will happen if you don’t do them. Only do things out of a solid  love and respect for yourself.
6. Get yourself a new tea bag: The thrifty side of you may  think it is smart to get more than one use out of a tea bag, but I’m  here to say that you are worth a new freaking tea bag every time you  have a cuppa. It tastes so much better.
7. Stand up for yourself (even when it will piss people off):  We all need to have our own back. Shrinking in the face of opposition  will only tell yourself that you are less than whoever is in front of  you.
8. Forgive yourself: No matter what you do, no matter how much  you regret something, no matter how disappointed you are in yourself –  always, always, always forgive yourself freely. Brush it off as an  important lesson and focus on all of the good you are creating.
9. Value your own opinion: Whether it’s to do with work,  romance, or even the new shoes you just bought; stop seeking approval  and validation from those around you. You already have all of the  answers inside you, so start trusting yourself.
10. Live in the moment: This one is powerful. When we live in  the moment, we cannot dwell on the past or worry about the future – we  are completely okay with however we are showing up. It is impossible to  wish for anything else when you are completely present – and this kind  of contentment is the ultimate act of loving yourself for exactly where  and who you are.
In my opinion, self love is the most important of all of our wellness  acts. Everything positive stems from garnering a deep inner respect for  yourself. You make healthy choices, you become a delight to be around,  you have more positivity to express on others, and life just seems to  flow with more ease. You recognise more blessings, and are therefore  given more in return. If everyone practiced self love like it is the  advantage that it is, this world would be amazing.

    <description>A Letter To My Fellow Cancer Friends
Unless you’re colour blind, you may have noticed that this  month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We are surrounded by a sea of  damn pink ribbons everywhere we look. One of my daily highlights is  watching The Ellen Show, but her whole pink “Ellen For The Cure” thing  grates on me. Why? Because raising awareness of breast cancer and  raising money to fund drug research is not taking us any closer to  curing cancer. We are all aware of breast cancer, and a drug will never  be the answer, because no drugs are exempt from side effects. Not one.  If this month was about health awareness and raising money to support  true healing, I would be all for it.
Every day my aim is to raise awareness of health and how we can all  take responsibility for our own health. But today I want to speak  specifically to my fellow cancer babes and dudes, and to those of you  who are close to someone with cancer.
Being diagnosed with cancer is scary. It’s terrifying and  it’s shitty. However, it is also an opportunity – an opportunity to  either become empowered or disempowered. To either take control  of your health and your future, or to hand control over to someone  else. To either wade your way through the murky waters of messages and  lessons and find all of the pieces of the magical puzzle, or to throw  your hands in the air and say, “fix me”.
I chose the empowered path, and while it was the hardest decision  I’ve ever made, I have never had any doubts that it was the right one  for me. If you’re agonising over the same decision, this is what I want  to tell you:
&amp;#160;
Dear You,
 &amp;#160;
 I am going to tell you what I wish someone had said to me when I  was sitting in a doctor’s office over four years ago being told that I  have an incurable cancer: You have nothing to be afraid of. Yes, you  have cancer. But this does not mean that you are going to die. Quite the  opposite, actually. This diagnosis is the wake up call you need to  start living your life properly.
 &amp;#160;
 Our bodies speak to us via symptoms. When we continually ignore the  symptoms (and don’t we all do that) our bodies will eventually resort  to yelling at us. For you, and for me, this yell came in the form of a  cancer diagnosis. It was our body’s last-ditch attempt to get us to  start treating it with respect.
 &amp;#160;
 I don’t know about you, but I wasn’t comfortable playing the  victim. Sure, there were many times when I caught myself wallowing with  my ‘poor me’ pity party hat on, but after I allowed myself to really  feel whatever it is I was feeling, the emotion passed on fairly quickly  and was always replaced with a feeling of  you-just-watch-me-prove-you-wrong empowerment. When I took back my  power, and decided that I was the only one who could determine the state  of my fate, I felt a surge of strength curse through me. I used this to  power up my healing.
 &amp;#160;
 This one change in mindset was the catalyst for my success. It is  what opened up my mind to possibilities, and what made me recognise the  amazing healing ability of my own body. It is what led me to the pieces  of the puzzle that I needed to find in order to heal. As soon as I made  the decision to survive, doors opened in places I formerly perceived to  be brick walls.
 &amp;#160;
 I also need to tell you this: there are always more options  available to you than what even your doctor is aware of. Just start  looking! We are so blessed to live in an era where all the information  we need is available to us at the tap of a key. Google is your best  friend, but you must use it wisely. Seek answers, but be discerning and  only act on the answers that resonate with you. Listen to your  intuition, and follow it. Your gut feeling will always have your back.  Always.
 &amp;#160;
 Finally, the number one piece of wisdom I wish I had been given way  back when fear had me in its cold, clammy grip is to act purely from a  place of self love. Don’t do anything out of fear. If you need to make  changes to your lifestyle (and remember if you’ve just been diagnosed  with cancer, this is your body telling you that you need to), make them  from a place of loving yourself. Don’t do anything because you are so  afraid of dying. Only do things because you so want to live, and you  want to live an amazing, vibrant, healthy, magical life.

“The wise know that too much  doing and a thing won’t get done. The secret to manifesting on the  highest level is to find the perfect amount of doing and non-doing to  allow the doing to be done. Sometimes much more can be accomplished  simply by letting go and trusting.” – Jackson Kiddard

I read the above quote on The Daily Love  last week and it pierced right through me. As much as I know and  understand what our man Jackson Kiddard is saying, it’s an easy nugget  of wisdom to forget. But when we do forget that we ultimately have  little control over the exact outcome of our goals, life becomes so much  harder.
&amp;#160;
I firmly believe that the Universe is safe place and that when we  collaborate in an appropriate manner, all of my dreams will come true.  However, when traction is slower than I would like and it feels like  things are stalling, my unchecked mind can wiggle itself into a bit of a  tizz. Its like I start mentally grasping at monkey bars that are always  that little bit out of reach – unsuccessfully and unnecessarily  exerting myself.

I say unnecessarily here because when we struggle – when we try to force  control of any situation – it’s like wheels spinning in mud. We do a  whole lot of work and don’t get a whole lot of anywhere.
What I’m getting at here is totally counterintuitive to our  Westernised ambitious drive. We are doers, creators, and achievers. We  work hard to make stuff happen. When things don’t go our way, rarely do  we surrender and trust that its going to work our brilliantly anyway.  Generally, we get stressed out and work ourselves up over it – which  ends up working against us, lowering our vibrational frequency and  blocking our attracting powers even more.

Even if we mentally feel like we are ready for something, if it hasn’t  shown up for us yet it just means that it is not the time.
There are so many examples of this, but here are some that I have realised in my own life:

+ My health: Every cancer patient’s goal is to be well, and I  am no exception. For over four years, getting well has been at the  forefront of my mind. In the beginning, especially, I was desperate to  be well. I was willing to do absolutely anything it took. It wasn’t  until recently, when I spoke with Anita Moorjani  about her terminal cancer, near-death-experience, and subsequent  healing, that I realised that focusing solely on “getting rid of cancer”  was counter productive to my goal. Sure, there was plenty of things  that I could do and needed to do to become an empowered participant in  my healing. But true healing wouldn’t be realised until I relinquished  the tight grip I had on the situation and surrendered to the perfection  my path and placed all of my faith in the Universe’s plan.

+ My career: When I was a magazine writer, work was something I  loved, but it always felt like a bit of a struggle. I never believed in  my talent as a writer, and I felt like the industry I was in was so  difficult to get ahead in. I was constantly analysing what my next move  needed to be and strategizing exactly what I needed to do to get there.  Now, I have 100% faith that as long as I am fulfilling my purpose, being  of service and providing as much value to the world as possible, my  career and finances will always be looked after.

+ My relationship: Before Tallon, I had major trust issues. I  felt like I needed to control how my partner felt about me and how they  acted, but this never worked. Clearly. I don’t know whether it is Tallon  himself or because I have done so much work on myself since being with  him that I completely get how a healthy relationship should be. We can’t  control other people, and our partners are not responsible for how we  feel. People come into our lives as assignments, and we just need to  trust that the Universe will always bring us the right people at the  right time. We can’t control the outcome.

The lesson: We cannot control what happens to us. We can only  control how we react to what happens to us, but we need to remain open  to rolling with the punches rather than clinging to whatever outcome we  have idolised in our minds. Whenever you flex your manifestation muscles  and start plotting for the realisation of your dreams, always end your  requests with “I wish to manifest this or something better.” Always  remain open to fact that quite often the Universe has something much  better in store for us than we can ever imagine.

It had angered and frustrated me for years - the absolutely criminal habits of doctors predicting (that is, guessing and assuming in their ignorance) there are patients lifespan. Unfortunately, this stupidity on the doctors part, often manifests as a self-fulfilling prophecy in the patient&#39;s mind.

So please Ron , just ignore any such assumption from a stupid and ignorant doctor.

Many of the professional healers, true health practitioners, around the world, do not get to see their patients until the conventional doctors / sickness industry have given up and issued the above mentioned death sentence. And, despite these odds, the alternative / natural health practitioners have an astonishing success rate with their patients.

There are thousands, and thousands, of people that have recovered from cancer and other serious illnesses without getting trapped in the conventional sickness industry.

The scaring tactics of the sickness industry, and they lies about complexity;

Cancer is $1 trillion (Trillions of Dollars!) industry, and the sickness industry have no intention to giving up this enormously profitable cash cow.
Hence the decades of lies, and indoctrination, of how complex the problem is.

The fact of the matter is, that there are no problem at all. Not in the body anyway, and not a health problem.

We do however have problem with our lifestyles - our habits are killing us.
We do have problem with our food and eating habits - our over processed food of killing us.
We do have problem with all the toxins we choose to indulge in - our sugar, preservatives, and all other chemicals are killing us.
We do have a problem with looking good and fitting in, our clothing, sun creams, antiperspirants, deodorants and other external chemicals are killing us.
(Please be aware, that your skin is your body&#39;s largest organ, whatever you put on your skin is absorbed into your bloodstream.)

Please be aware, that antiperspirants are the biggest cause of breast cancer, most of these antiperspirants are aluminium-based. It is little known, but nevertheless a fact, that aluminium residue is found in many breast cancer tumours. Even excessive use of bra’s is proven to be a contributor to a breast cancer, and other health issues. As fact that is easily understood if you studying our lymphatic system a bit, the lymph is an important liquid for distributing arbitrations and removing toxins from the cells. Our couch potato lifestyle, no movement at all, in combination with fashionable tight clothing is simply a disaster for the operation of the lymphatic system.

It is not complicated, it is simply that we put too much shit in the body, and then lock it in there - and the locks we put on the body are;
Anti-cough medicine, anti-diarrhoea, anti-sweating, and much more.

Cancer then, becomes the body’s defence mechanism, the inability to get rid of the shit force is the body to create garbage containers and collect damaging toxins and chemicals in these containers. The sickness industry then, in their ignorance of purely focusing on symptoms, or calling this garbage containers “TUMOURS” and tells us that there have to be removed.

The fact of the matter is;
That when the body has no need for this garbage containers, the body system we immediately do away with these containers faster than they were created.
&amp;#160;
My partner Connie did just that;
The doctors found some tumours on some scanning of the ovaries, and of course immediately suggested operation. Off course a hysterectomy, THE most un-necessary operation of all unnecessary operations that are done in our hospitals.

Connie refused operations, and she cleaned out the body by leaving on a freshly pressed natural juices, fresh juices compost of the rights cleansing and vegetables and fruits. The recipe is simple;

1 kg of carrots.
One green Apple.
One fist sized beetroot.
One red Apple.
One good size lemon, including the rind.
And as third Apple, preferably yellow.

Three weeks of fasting, no solid food, just water, lots of water, and the above mentioned juice was all it that was needed. Connie did this fasting in August September of 2009, in November the same year the doctors did several scans and to their surprise the tumours were nowhere to be found.

In addition Ron , you should drink lots of lemon water for the purpose of alkaline the body. (See further about Acetic versus Alkaline body environment in my continued writing, but please also research and study Prof. Otto Warburg’s (Nobel Prize winner 1930 and 1932) findings of how easy cancer tumours disappears in actually in alkaline the body.)

Again just fresh, simply run 3 to 5 lemons through a cold press juicer, that would give you a nice sized drink for breakfast lunch and dinner. You can of course mix the lemon juice with clean filtered water to soften the taste of it.

For several years, until  April of this year, I had been lecturing nationally to health  professionals about the great vaccine hoax. Attending one such seminar  was a board member of an association of health professionals, who  invited me to speak on this subject at their national conference. I did,  and had 90 minutes to present the most salient points from my 7-hour seminar.  It caused quite a stir, and several clinicians thanked me for having  the courage to speak the truth about this controversial subject.
Later that day, I sat on a panel of four experts to answer questions  from conference attendees. Many of the questions were directed at the  PhD immunologist on the panel, asking if the statements I had made in  the morning presentation were true. To my surprise, the immunologist  confirmed every assertion I had made.
The first was that it is pointless to administer drugs intended to  stimulate antibody production to babies who are too young to produce  antibodies. Infants in their first year mostly depend on generalized,  non-specific immunity, including (hopefully) immunoglobulins from breast  milk, to protect their young bodies from infection. They do not produce  antibodies of their own until about age one. Despite this basic fact,  the medical establishment insists administering a total of 19 shots,  containing 24 vaccines, to infants on the 2, 4 and 6 month pediatric  visits (Source: cdc.gov). Somehow, the basic facts of human physiology and development do not apply to vaccines.
You can listen to an&amp;#160;audio  file of an exchange between an attendee and the immunologist about this  question. She declined to be identified in my presentations, including  this post, perhaps because she knows that anyone who speaks the truth  about vaccines is savaged by the medical establishment and their  compliant lapdogs in the mainstream media. It is professional suicide  for anyone in conventional medicine to question the unquestionable (yet  unproven) assumptions about vaccines: that they are effective, safe and  necessary. I have stopped lecturing publicly on this subject for the  same reason, because the attacks in recent years have become  particularly vicious; and because my main message in my teachings is  about personal responsibility, innate wholeness and opening to the  largeness of who we are, not just vaccines.
Here’s the transcript of this shocking exchange:
Q. So the science seems fairly clear that for the first year of  life, probably, that the immunization is not stimulating the kind of  response we expect it to stimulate.
A. True.
Q. So what’s the rationale for continuing to do that if it’s not doing what it’s supposed to be [doing]?
A. The vaccines are given at pediatric wellness visits, and the  idea is that you are training the parent to bring their child in at all  the pediatric wellness visits, and that it’s only the year visit that  actually is truly important. But that for most parents you are not going  to get them to bring their kid in if they don’t come in at two months,  four months, and six months. And so it’s actually more of a training  thing.
It’s interesting, I was on the phone with [?] county public  health last week, with one of their vaccine nurses. She was like, ‘Oh,  you’re talking about vaccines? Make sure you tell them they have to do  that year shot because the first three [the 2, 4 and 6 month shots]  don’t work.’ I was like, ‘Yeah, I know.’ [laughter].
Now, the person speaking here is not some kid with a blog. This is an  impeccably-credentialed, pro-vaccine PhD immunologist. She knows more  about the detailed intracies of human immunology than I ever will. I  have great respect for her, and her decades of dedicated work in this  field. And I was so glad I was sitting right next to her as she  confirmed what I and others have been saying for years.
Though I am not lecturing anymore publicly on the vaccine scam, I have a recording of the seminar available, with slides, notes, articles, etc., if you are interested in more on this subject.
Let’s muster the courage to question the Unquestionable Vaccine  Assumptions, and ask, “Are they effective? Are they safe? Are they  necessary?” The best, most rigorous science we have says “No,” or, at  least, “We don’t know,” to all three questions. And clear, independent  thinking about it generally concludes that vaccines are about profit,  not health. I’ve had a natural family health practice for 21 years, and  have never told a parent not to vaccinate their kids. That’s a personal  decision. Bottom line: ask the tough questions, find your own answers,  and decide for yourself. Our future is at stake.

What is the Lymphatic System?
The lymphatic system is one of the main elimination channels in the body.&amp;#160; The others are the skin, lungs, kidneys and bowels.&amp;#160; It is a major factor in the absorption of nutrients from digestion into the tissues and it is also how the body removes its metabolic wastes.&amp;#160; The lymphatic system clears toxins, unwanted proteins, and waste which cannot be removed by any other means.&amp;#160; 
The lymphatic system maintains the connective tissues to an optimal levels, carries toxins out of the body’s interstitial spaces, helps to transport lymphocytes and hormones throughout the body, filters harmful substances and bacterial infection, maintains the balance of fluids in the body’s tissues, and it recovers substances that have escaped into the body.

What is Lymphatic Massage?
Because the lymphatic system has no pump, its functions are dependent upon muscle contractions, diaphragmatic breathing, and body movement.&amp;#160; It is common to develop a sluggish lymphatic flow.&amp;#160; Some causes of this include inactivity, consuming the wrong foods and drinks, and not drinking enough water.
Lymphatic massage is a massage technique that is designed to stimulate the lymph’s circulation in order to speed up the removal of waste from the body.&amp;#160; It is helpful for the nervous system as it reduces sympathetic nervous activity, allows Para-sympathetic activity, stimulates the defences of the immune system, and increases the flow and volume of the lymph fluid.&amp;#160; The technique involves the use of gentle, rhythmic strokes and pumping movements towards the direction of the lymph nodes on the body.
Lymphatic massage is helpful for scars, stress, cellulite, stretch marks, detoxification, chronic fatigue, weight problems, arthritis, neurological disorders, pregnancy, pain, and overall wellbeing.

Deep Lymphatic Massage
Many degenerative problems are related to imbalances or poor functioning within the lymphatic system.&amp;#160; If these imbalances are not corrected, the lymphatic system is unable to properly remove waste and toxic materials.&amp;#160; The toxic matter then builds up in the body’s tissues, eventually leading to what we call disease.
Deep lymphatic massage is used to clear all of the lymphatic vessels through the body – the superficial, mid, and deep vessels – which have become congested through trauma.&amp;#160; Any time the body sustains damage, an area of congestion develops and, over time, this congestion solidifies and may hold fluid around the area, thus leading to an increase in body size and blocking the flow of some fluids.
Many conditions respond well to deep lymphatic massage, although it is especially good for people that are wishing to prevent problems in the future.&amp;#160; It should not be used by people that are pregnant, have epilepsy, or have appendicitis.

What to Expect During a Lymphatic Massage Session
Lymphatic massage treatments generally last anywhere from 30 to 90 minutes.&amp;#160; It is performed on a table, and the client undresses to an extent that they are comfortable with.&amp;#160; Sheets and blankets are used to protect modesty.&amp;#160; The strokes used in the massage are light and rhythmic, and the massage should not be painful.&amp;#160; Massage oil is generally used.&amp;#160; Once the massage is over, the practitioner will leave the room to allow the client to redress.&amp;#160;&amp;#160; The practitioner will also give you some tips on exercises that will continue to assist in lymphatic drainage.

It is so important for people who have, are currently  experiencing or have a fear of going through cancer, to truly understand  the mechanism that goes on inside the body and the real reasons why the  body creates this. As the title suggests, cancer is certainly not a  disease but instead a survival and protective mechanism that the body  engages when it is highly threatened. 
There are two ways in which cells are able to survive in the human  body. The usual way cells survive is through the use or uptake of oxygen  and these cells are called aerobic. They are classified as normal,  higher functioning cells.
When there is a depletion of oxygen in surrounding tissue, the cells  that are deprived of oxygen still need to survive. All cells in the  human body are programmed for survival. Cells that aren’t able to  survive through the uptake of oxygen, begin to mutate and feed off  toxicity or waste material in the surrounding tissue. This could be as a  result of cell debris or any other form of waste or toxicity in the  area. The functioning of those cells is diminished and they become quite  primitive in their actions, very similar to the way stem cells work.  These cells are termed anaerobic. They are also referred to as cancer  cells. Every human being on the planet has these. Some more than others.  It all depends on how much waste is circulating through the body.
The more waste and toxins that accumulate in the body, the higher the  incidence of cancerous and mutated cells. There is a very interesting  explanation for this. In order for the human body to function optimally,  the internal environment needs to be relatively alkaline.  When too much waste builds up inside the body in various areas, the  body can start to become acidic. This is the reason why most natural  alternatives to treating cancers involve high alkaline diets to detoxify  and bring more oxygen to cancer sites. The more acidic the body  becomes, the greater the mutations. These cell mutations, or cancer  cells, can be referred to as the ‘internal house keeping’ system of the  body.
Take for example an apartment that has carpet everywhere. Naturally,  carpets attract large amounts of dust and other bits and pieces. In  order to keep that apartment clean, constant house keeping is a  necessity. If the apartment were to be left for weeks or months without  cleaning, it would become a significant health hazard and require a  large amount of work to get it back in order. This is exactly  what happens with regards to cancer. The internal environment becomes  incredibly messy and the cancer cells are there to mop up and clean up  all the mess and eliminate it. As with the apartment metaphor,  if the mess exceeds the number of people or hands to manage that mess,  it increasingly gets worse and very difficult to manage. In the body,  this happens as well and eventually results in tumor formation or  metastases.
The blessing of having cancer cells inside the body working against  all that mess and waste, is to protect the body from a far worse fate,  which most people are unaware of. It’s called acidosis. It is a life  threatening state and if left unattended, it will result in a fatality  within a few hours to a few days. Those cancer cells that we are  all trying so desperately to eliminate with chemotherapy, surgery and  radiation, are designed by the body to protect the body from an acidotic  state, from certain death. They are provided by you, for you,  to give you enough time to gather the resources required to clean up the  mess that was unconsciously created by you. It is an incredible  protective system that modern medicine is destroying due to a lack of  understanding and ignorance. This leaves the body vulnerable to more  challenge and does not address the underlying causes.

Aging is not a unique feature of our time, but only in the last  100 years it has become commonplace. It was found that in antiquity and  the Middle Ages old age was extremely rare, and until the 17th century,  only 1 per cent of people reached the age of 65. By in the early 19th  century, this number rose to about 4 percent. There are suggestions that  about 70 percent of the population of Western Europe today live more  than 65 years, and 30-40 per cent – more than 80 years, and possibly  more.
For those looking for a lifestyle that involves longevity, you can  recall the ancient Greek rule: “moderation in all things.” The study of  very old people often shows that they have a special ability to adapt  and moderation in food consumption and physical activity. Not  surprisingly, smoking (any amount), and alcohol can reduce life  expectancy by a decade or more.
Biological  age is a measure of how long a person lives, because age is weakly  correlated with physical changes. One can imagine a 75 year old man who  looks typical of the elderly (gray hair, wrinkles, etc.)., But you can  also recall the “best preserved” people who have these symptoms to not  look old (forever young, for example, world famous Paul Bragg, the  physical condition of his body consistent with 25 years of age, died at  92 years old, riding a surfboard in the water) and the young people that  look prematurely old. The state of the human body depends on the impact  of various factors – the state of the environment, socio-economic  conditions, genetic code, way of life, nutrition, mental and physical  stress, psychological climate in the family, working team, education,  the availability of human fortitude in stressful situations, the ability  to make a positive experience from different situations.
There are many reasons put forward by the physical changes with age,  which can be grouped under the title “theory of wear and tear” (parts of  the body gradually “wear out” from use) and “cytological theory” (the  cells get old in contact with toxins, including the waste products of  metabolism in the body). It should be emphasized that the processes of  social, biological and psychological aging does not occur independently  of each other. As physical changes due to illness, injury affect the  mental state of man, also bursts of emotion, pain and stress, long  experienced by the person in the family and in the process of life,  cause changes in the physical body! The majority of patients in  psychiatric hospitals are not genetically predisposed to mental illness,  being sensitive (high threshold), the nervous system at many can’t  withstand negative emotions from the outside world, there is a  malfunction of the cerebral cortex, the person does not control his  actions, it is disrupted the sleep-wake cycle. Over the years, these  disorders are becoming more resistant – developing disease of the mind.  When this alarming “bell” rings it is unknown . So, be attentive to your  family, do not rush to “vent anger” on a loved one, results can be  unpredictable.
According to scientific research is well known that men are more  likely than women to evaluate themselves according to their social  status, so they show a much greater loss of confidence in their  usefulness for close people when getting old. This causes them to shrink  into themselves, which, in turn, creates a sense of restraint and,  consequently, increased introversion.
The overall picture of changes in an aging body is not attractive.  For example, at the level of tissue – the skin and muscles become less  elastic, at the cellular level – there is dysfunction of mitochondria  (which produce energy inside cells) at the molecular level – the most  plausible theory, each time a cell divides, the site of DNA, called  telomeres is shortened. When the telomeres can no longer be reduced, the  cell stops dividing and dies. However, not only telomere is responsible  for cell aging. There are several theories of aging:
1) a genetic mutation theory argues that  the violations of repair systems lead to the accumulation of damage and  lead to a catastrophic accumulation of defective proteins, and this may  be exacerbated by environmental pollution and improper diet;
2) The autoimmune theory of aging states  that aging can be attributed to errors in the human immune system.  First, because it becomes less able to fight off infection, and  secondly, because it mistakenly identifies its own cells as the agents  of infection and attacks them.
3) the theory of cellular debris suggests  that aging is the accumulation of waste matter generated as a byproduct  of normal cellular activity. These include lipofuscin and molecular  compounds called free radicals.
Whatever the reasons for the changes in the body are, there is no  doubt that these changes occur. One of the essential features is the  loss of cell number with age. It is important to remember that this  process does not begin in old age, but in early maturity, with an annual  loss of 0.8-1 percent of the cells, ranging from 30 years of age. This  process is very slow and since almost all body systems have redundancy,  it is only in the sixth decade of life, that many changes first become  apparent to an outsider view.
Changes in physical condition and type of activity indicate that  approximately at 65 (late adulthood), people must come to terms with the  fact that they are no longer leaders both at work and in family life.  Thus, in order to be satisfied with life and get quiet joy of being in  retirement, people need to learn how to give leadership and to pass on  the “second part” – sage advice for your adult children is always  priceless. It is assumed that in the pre-retirement age people are in  crisis and unsure of their abilities, so this period is perceived as a  period of change and anxiety.
There are five basic types of personality traits:

    Constructive type – men of this type are calm, adapted to aging, love life and establish warm emotional relationships with others.
    The dependent type (“rocking chair”) is also  socially acceptable, well integrated, but passive and relies not on  himself but on others for help. He considers retiring as a release from  work and related responsibilities and stress.
    The security type is essentially a neurotic type.  Men who have this type of features, continue to work, or are occupied by  a responsible activity, like “proving” that they are healthy and do not  need the help of others.
    Aggressive-incriminatory type – people with this  set of features accuse others people and circumstances of their own  failures. Their response is deleterious indignation on the young. They  usually stick to “the injustice of the world” to them.
    Incriminatory type- the hatred and indignation of a man is turning on himself, which also has a damaging effect on the mental state of man.

After analyzing the normative behavior of the elderly, Jerome and  Coleman suggest that personality is best described using a model of the  “big five” – five basic personality traits – responsibility (as far as  the person is reliable), the tendency to agree (as far as the wishes of  other people are compliant), openness to knowledge (as far as man  strives to become acquainted with the unknown), extroversion and  neuroticism. It was found that people with higher levels of openness and  emotional stability, mostly lead a healthy lifestyle and have fewer  health problems. Conversely, higher levels of emotional instability  contribute to the development of chronic diseases in old age.
So, if you want to live to a ripe old age, vigorous, healthy, loved  and happy – stick to the “golden mean” in the diet, movements, properly  alternate work and rest, do not allow yourself “the luxury of being in a  bad mood,” often observe nature , animals, laugh often with family, say  kind words to yourself and your family, learn to relax the whole body,  take a shower every morning at a pleasant temperature for you, take care  of the body and the mood of the most important person in your life –  you!
These are simple, long known to all rules. If everyone knew how to  introduce them to the rank of habits in their life, psychiatric  hospitals would not be so crowded. Take care of yourself and your loved  ones.

If diet soda, sugar-free gum, Equal, Splenda, NutraSweet, Sweet-n-Low,  energy drinks, and processed protein powders are part of your diet, than  the answer is yes. If you do have your hand raised right now, I beg you  to keep reading. 
Some people choose artificial sweeteners instead of sugar because  they feel they are doing themselves a favour by not consuming sugar and  calories. Others have no idea that they are consuming artificial  sweeteners because they are hidden in a plethora of processed foods.  Food marketers are clever. They cottoned on early to the fact that they  can replace sugar in their products with artificial sweeteners and then  wack “diet”, “sugar-free”, and “low cal” claims all over the packaging.  Of course that is going to make dieters rush to buy them.
&amp;#160;
However, the thing is that these artificial sweeteners are  one of the worst things we can be consuming for our health. Why? They  are both toxic and addictive, which is a highly dangerous combination.
&amp;#160;
Aspartame is the most common ingredient in artificial sweeteners.  There are others, like sucralose (Splenda), neotame (made with  aspartame), saccaharine (Sweet-n-Low), acesulfame-K (Sunnette) – and  they are all dangerous. But today, let’s delve into the deception of  aspartame (also known as its new name AminoSweet).
&amp;#160;
+ Aspartame, or more commonly known as NutraSweet or Equal, is an artificial sweetener that is currently found in over 4000 products worldwide.
+ Aspartame is a proven neurotoxin made up of 40% aspartic acid, 50% phenylalanine and 10% methanol. Sounds like a tasty concoction, right?
+ Neurosurgeon Dr Russell Blaylock says: “It  is my opinion, and the opinion of many others, that aspartame is a  dangerous neurotoxin and its use should be discouraged generally, but  especially so in those harboring neurological diseases.”
+ It is responsible for over 75% of the adverse reactions to food additives reported to the FDA.  A few of the 90 different documented symptoms include:  headaches/migraines, dizziness, seizures, nausea, numbness, muscle  spasms, weight gain, rashes, depression, fatigue, irritability,  tachycardia, insomnia, vision problems, hearing loss, heart  palpitations, breathing difficulties, anxiety attacks, slurred speech,  loss of taste, tinnitus, vertigo, memory loss and joint pain.
+ Aside from the complaints, there are also around 10,000 documented reports of aspartame side effects and over 900 published studies on the health hazards.
+ The most alarming these days, when we are racing towards one in two of us being diagnosed with cancer, is the proof that aspartame causes cancer.

And here’s the real kick in the guts – artificial sweeteners have not even been proven to aid in weight loss. The opposite is actually true. A 10-year study by researchers at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio showed that those who drank two or more diet sodas a day had a 500% greater increase in waist size.
What was once thought to be a great alternative to sugar –  especially for diabetics – has turned out to be nothing but a seriously  dangerous deception.

I’ve done it so many times before. Out of laziness and haste to get  my lentil curry cooked I’ve thrown a cup of lentils in to my pot  unwashed. Gasp! This is a big no-no. Before you write me off as  melodramatic or OCD (both of which I’ll admit to being at times, but not  in this instance) let me tell you of the damage that is done by cooking  with and eating unwashed legumes, seeds and nuts.
Nature has set it up so that the nut, grain and seed may survive  until proper growing conditions are present. These tough little guys are  equipped with a defense mechanism or outer coating that is removed  naturally when there is enough rain to sustain a new plant after the  nut, grain or seed germinates. When it rains the nut, grain or seed gets  wet and can then germinate to produce a plant. This outer coating is a  problem for us because it is made up of nutritional inhibitors and toxic  substances. These inhibitors and toxic substances are enzyme  inhibitors, phytates (phytic acid), polyphenols (tannins), and  goitrogens, and they can be minimised or eliminated by being given a  good soaking.
Enzyme inhibitors clog, warp or denature an active site of an enzyme.  They can also bind to an enzyme and prevent them doing what they are  intended to do. There are digestive enzymes and metabolic enzymes.  Digestive enzymes help break down food. Metabolic enzymes help every  biological process the body does. When consumed in excess these pesky  little enzyme inhibitors put a strain on the digestive mechanism and  prevent your body from absorbing potential goodness. Then there’s  phyates. Untreated phytic acid can combine with calcium, magnesium,  copper, iron and especially zinc in the intestinal tract and block their  absorption. This is why a diet high in unfermented whole grains may  lead to serious mineral deficiencies and bone loss.
Soaking nuts, grains, seeds and legumes will …
• Remove or reduce phytic acid.
• Remove or reduce tannins.
• Neutralise the enzyme inhibitors.
• Encourage the production of beneficial enzymes.
• Increase the amounts of vitamins, especially B vitamins.
• Break down gluten and make digestion easier.
• Make the proteins more readily available for absorption.
• Prevent mineral deficiencies and bone loss.
• Help neutralise toxins in the colon and keep the colon clean.
• Prevent many health diseases and conditions.
Soak your nuts, grains and seeds in water for seven to 24 hours to  neutralise the enzyme inhibitors and break down the anti-nutrients. I  find legumes will go a bit mushy if you soak them for an extended period  of time, so I just let them wash in water for about 15 minutes prior to  cooking with them.

Almonds should be handled separately to other  nuts. The skin has oxalic acid in it, which should be avoided. Soak  your almonds in filtered water over night, then drop them into hot water  in the morning so that you can easily remove the skins. Then, put them  in a dehydrator or a low oven to dry them out. If you don’t dry them  out, they will go mildew.

Nuts are often discredited because they are considered fattening.  They aren’t, by the way. Nuts may be high in calories, but we don’t  count calories around here. Nuts are a great source of healthy fat, they  don’t contain any cholesterol, and they are wonderful for your heart.  They are satiating, which makes them ideal as a snack. Nuts also carry  with them many, many benefits. So many that you could even go as far as  calling them “superfoods”.
&amp;#160;
These super benefits include:

Walnuts: Good source of protein, fibre, and magnesium. They  have a high level of alpha-linolenic acid, a type of brain-boosting  omega-3 fatty acid.

Brazil nuts: High in selenium, which is super important for your thyroid.

Almonds: High in fibre and calcium, and an excellent source of vitamin E.

Cashews: You can get nearly 10% of your daily value of iron in a  single serving of cashews. Also a good source of folate and vitamin K,  which helps keep bones strong and blood clotting normally.

Pistachios: Rich in lutein, an antioxidant that’s also found in  leafy greens and is important for healthy vision and skin. Plus, one  serving gives you almost as much potassium as a small banana.

Macadamia nuts: High in fibre and protein, and rich in vital minerals like potassium, manganese, calcium, iron, magnesium, and zinc.

One of the best benefits of nuts is that they can be used as a  substitute for dairy. I’ve been making nut milk, cashew cream, and  cashew cheesecake. I have also been adding nuts to my salads and quinoa.  It’s awesome.

    <description>If there was a pump failure or major blockage in the city’s sewer  system, it&#39;s not be hard to imagine what could happen. All of the pipes  would back up when an immovable material came through, creating a gigantic crisis that would threaten the health of all who lived in the city.
Many of the devastating plagues and diseases that literally wiped out  entire cities and communities arose from open sewers and improper waste  disposal. If the sewer ever backs up, dangerous health problems occur!
Similarly in the human body, big health problems can stem from major  blockages and toxic build up that occur over time in the digestive  system.&amp;#160; Think again of the analogy of your digestive tract being the  &quot;River of Life&quot; or &quot;River of Death&quot; depending on what you choose to float down the river (for the most part of your life).

Please read and pay attention, ignorance is no longer a valid excuse, if you overindulge in sugar drinks - or worse still; the once where the sugar has been replaced with a lethal toxins.

HEALTH TIP: Even though diet sodas have ZERO calories, the artificial sweeteners (like Aspartame) tend to trigger more communication in the brain&#39;s “pleasure center” while not providing the brain with actual satisfaction. Since your brain is not satisfied, the result is that you will crave MORE sugar, MORE carbs, and MORE calories. Result: Diet sodas will make you FAT!
A recent 10 year study at the University of Texas showed that people who drink 2 or more diet sodas per day had a 500% greater increase in waist size (compared to non-diet soda drinkers)! So, not only is Aspartame (formerly on a Pentagon list of biowarfare chemicals – until the FDA approved it for our food) an excitotoxin, which means that it excites brain cells to death, and not only does it cause brain tumors, strokes, heart attacks, skin disorders, and seizures, but now we have proof that it actually makes you fatter!
If you absolutely must have a “soda”, try making your own with club soda and fruit juice.
Or simply drink water;
Water is a miracle drink anytime and anywhere.

Here&#39;s another clarification of what we actually doing in our current four day cleansing process. It is as we said a Tyler Tolman and fortune events program and it is available by clicking here.
The detailed description on Tyler Tolman&#39;s four-day colon cleanse;

    Clean the largest organ in your body.
    Loose unhealthy cravings.
    Get rid of bloating, and excess weight.
    Feel lighter and brighter.
    Have more energy.

INGREDIENTS;
These colon cleanse is a special formula of organic flax seed, organic oats, organic psyllium, Bentonite Clay and Salt.
INSTRUCTIONS;

I noticed my first grays when I was about 26. Spindly little  critters that had a mind of their own, sticking upwards and outwards as a  silvery sign of early aging. I’d been coloring my hair for goodness  knows how many years, so only realized I’d joined the gray ranks when I  decided it was time to stop — cold turkey.
I had a big urge to let my true color shine, whatever that was, I  couldn’t quite recall — what I didn’t expect when I laid off the L’Oreal  was a crop of anemic newcomers. But rather than rejoice my natural  locks with their smattering of wiry strands, I retreated in defeat back  to bottle and covered my head, once again, in a cocktail of chemicals  all in the name of the big V (vanity, that is).
My last attempt at covering my tresses’ true identity involved  stripping any evidence of grays — or color — joining the much-revered  blond brigade. Not only did it fail miserably — I ruined my hair — the  upkeep was horrendous.
Now, as an eco beauty editor, my addiction to hair color definitely  had to stop, especially when I realized how detrimental it was to not  only my health, but the environment in general. I started to crave  healthy hair, no matter its hue. So it was back to brunette, which  turned a sickly shade of khaki at the hands of my former hairdresser,  despite her best intentions. Grays were starting to look good, sexy  even.
My current hairdresser and I hatched a plan. Chop it off. Start again. After a little bit of soul searching and contemplating, I did it.  It was a move to herald in new energy and a new outlook on beauty. I’d  been through hair hell and wasn’t willing to succumb to the bottle again  — unless it was pure and natural.
&amp;#160;
Fast forward a couple of months and I still hadn’t found a  color I was willing to dump onto my hair, scalp and into the waterways.  No matter what the labels promised, the ingredients told a different  story.
All of this hair hoo-ha got me to thinking about why we go gray. Is  it hereditary? Is it to do with nutritional deficiencies? My gut  instinct and some research told me it was more likely the latter. Sure, I  believe we can inherit certain things, but I’m not yet convinced going  gray like your mother is a certainty.
What I do know is that so many of us live on dead food,  devoid of nutrients and energy. How could we possibly retain any hint of  youth when what we put into our bodies doesn’t promote good health and  longevity? Not so many years ago (as much as I don’t like to  admit it) I smoked, I drank in excess, I ate takeaway chicken that was  no doubt pumped up on hormones and antibiotics, I worked in stressful  jobs that sent my heart rate into a tail spin every day. It’s little  wonder my skin didn’t glow and my hair started its early descent into  old age.
&amp;#160;
I now understand that gray hair is caused by a B vitamin  deficiency and lack of raw fatty acids and trace minerals including  copper, silicon and sulfur. I was, only just a few years ago,  no doubt deficient in all of these and more. The best thing to do was to  clean out (cleanse) and top up (start eating food rich in these  vitamins, fatty acids and minerals). And so I did.
Since eating a plant-based, organic diet that’s plentiful in all  sorts of nutrients, I’ve noticed a curious occurrence. My grays are  becoming less and my hair is shinier than ever. It has got me wondering  if its a combination of giving my hair a chemical reprieve and treating  my body with respect by only fueling it with good-for-me foods has  something to do with it.

We, that is Connie and myself,  or on a mission to clean out all the yucky remains of Christmas from  our bodies. Actually we have probably a lot of crap that accumulated  throughout 2011.

Firstly the theory that we put into practice for a few years now;
It says in the Bible that you supposed to toil for six days and rest  for one day every week. This one day is suggested being Sunday, however  after contemplating how we allow the body to rest on Sunday I felt sorry  for my temple. (Ancient identification of the body.)

Quite often starting with a hangover, be it a normal alcohol hangover,  or the food hangover from overindulgence, either way forcing the body to  work overtime to recover from over immoderation and abuse on Saturday  night.

We proceed with the big greasy breakfast, some sweets, or God forbid; flushing down the hangover with a few Coca-Cola or other toxic sugar drinks. And off course as soon as the clock strikes “Beer a Clock” we pop open, and down, the first coldie.

From thereon the abuse is an avalanche; Sunday roast or after noon BBQ  with all the trimmings including alcohol, and some deserts, and some  other sweets, and some more alcohol - and off course a continuous flow  of chips and dip.
What a resting day for the body!!!
The poor thing has to work overtime 24 hours, and possibly through onto Wednesday to recover from the abuse.

Our solution, or maybe way of making amends;
We decided to help the body get the cleaning done ‘first thing’  Monday morning, consequently our Monday diet is raw fresh juice only,  namely Don Tolman’s recipe of CABALA juice. We are out of bed at 5:30,  Connie chopping up carrots, apples, beetroot and a lemon and it&#39;s my job  to run them through the juicing machine.

So there you have our Monday cleansing (weekend indulgence amends) menu,  possibly adding a vegetable smoothie as an afternoon / evening meal.

CABALA juice a recipe;
1 Kg Carrots.
1 Red Apple, 1 Green Apple and 1 Yellow Apple.
1 Beetroot.
1 Lemon, with rind and all.

Our long-term raw food cleansing;
From 16 January we are on a mission to do a Good Christmas cleaning  on the inside of the body, a minimum 30 day process -but possibly a bit  longer.

This program is cleansing, not a weight-loss. However, commencing the  process I decided to reset my mental ideal weight to 80 kg rather than  the last years 85 kg. Let&#39;s see how that goes.

The program we designed is to exclude all meat, in any form, keeping  sugar intake at a minimum which of cause excluded the intake of alcohol  as well.
In short; no meat, no sugar and no alcohol.
In addition, starting on Thursday, we will do the Don and Tyler Tolman “Pulse Program” – “14 days to a new You”.  Starting with a four day fibrous drink colon cleanse, followed by 10  days of an ancient healthy fruit mix called “Pulse”.&amp;#160; (Daniel 1:8-14) You can purchase your “Pulse” HERE.

We have now, up until Wednesday, had a slow cleansing diet of 80% raw  and 20% cooked vegetables during 10 days. It has been said, among  others, by Monica Colmsjo Author of “Sweet Dreams”, that too much and too sudden cleansing and weight loss can release stored toxins in the body.

In my layman terms I understand and describe this in the following simple ways;

We are munching away all year long, or probably several years, on our  Double MacBurger or Cheese Burgers flushing it down with some toxic and  addictive sugar drink. With all the toxins, excessive fat, ammonia, anti  foaming agents, preservatives, sugar and artificial taste chemicals it  is simply too much for the body to process.

Add to that that the crap is processed over and over for convenient  handling, transport and longer shelf life, and you have something  totally unrecognizable for your body&#39;s digestive systems.

“So what to do?” -&amp;#160; Says the ‘foreman’ in your guts.

He, your digestive system, therefore proceeds to stack your Big Mac’s as  spare tires around your waist, while the coke sugar would be used to  clog up your liver and other organs with fat. So there you are walking  around like a rottening food factory with all these food leftovers in  decay.

A day of enlightening;
Suddenly a new personality awakens, or at least a fellow you haven&#39;t  been aware of for decades, and he yells to you; “You are at fat lacy  bludger, you need to lose weight and you need to clean out the garbage  tip of a body that you&#39;re carrying around”.

And this new “Mr. Good Guy” proceeds to put you on a 30 day water  fasting and cleansing procedure, totally shocking your “foreman in your  guts” in an opposite direction.

Suddenly we have no fatty food coming at all, “Help, we are going to starve to death”, what to do now?

So they proceed to release all your old Big Mac’s from fat storage into  the bloodstream, clogging up the veins, and releasing all the plaque you  so carefully built up in your arteries, and let it float in lumps to  the heart and the brains.

And if the subsequent strokes and heart attacks don&#39;t kill you, then you  have all the stored fast food chemicals giving your body an overdose  and a total toxic shock.

The logic conclusion; “Health, detox and weight loss are dangerous, we better stick to our Big Mac’s, Coke and TV coach.


So there you have it, the reasoning behind Connie&#39;s and my own plans and  strategies; (not that I can remember when I last visited a McDonald&#39;s  factory outlet.) we do it nice, slowly and enjoyable. Eating our greens,  slowly cleansing the body, and now on day 11 to 14 we do a more serious  cleanout of our ‘temples’.

The Tyler Tolman&#39;s Fasting, and our story;


Good Tuesday morning to all my readers, and Facebook friends.

We, that is Connie and myself,  or on a mission to clean out all the yucky remains of Christmas from  our bodies. Actually we have probably a lot of crap that accumulated  throughout 2011.

It says in the Bible that you supposed to toil for six days and rest  for one day every week. This one day is suggested being Sunday, however  after contemplating how we allow the body to rest on Sunday I felt sorry  for my temple. (Ancient identification of the body.)
